This absolutely takes the cake as one of the most stupid remarks I've ever heard a top politician utter. I'm sure everybody remembers the fruit fly bruhaha of Sarah Palin from last October. And what do I read on Pharyngula: Now McCain has just dissed fruit fly research again! Has this guy been buried and isolated from the world for the last thre months? Hellloooo? Anybody present between those ears? Or just a vacuum under the skull? I guess this really proves my earlier point: The McCain/Palin ticket really ran on an anti-science agenda and I'm happy the US public didn't buy it.
