I just found this book chapter by our Professor Emeritus Randolf Menzel on Scribd and thought I should share it. It's a neat overview of how insects in general and honeybees in particular can help us solve some of the mysteries surrounding general brain function. Indeed, it seems as if most if not all brains may function according to the same, broad principles, some of which get introduced and explained in this chapter.
