Almost exactly a year after our paper on spontaneous behavior in Drosophila appeard in PLoS One, one of my students from last term's neuroinformatics course, Matthias Winkelmann, suggested it as interesting stuff on boingboing. It got picked up and the post ended up on their front page. Not surprisingly, since then, most of the traffic on brembs.net has been from boingboing
Thanks Matthias!
I've left a comment back at boingboing. In it I announce that we will release our raw data for this study as well as the source code for all our evaluation algorithms free on JoVE in an upcoming video publication.
