I'm blogging live out of a conference at Howard Hughes Medical Insitute's Janelia Farm. The conference I'm attending is actually a two-part conference, the first one on neuroanatomy and the second one on brain function of insects.
The Janelia Farm Research Campus is a very high-profile endeavour which has taken up business just a few months ago. I'm attaching a few pics from the remarkable architecture.
Currently the participants are discussing the question of how to call newly identified brain structures such that students and researchers can easily refer to them and study their function across many different insect species.
