Deadline

Entries received after March 18, 2002 will be assessed a $10.00 per gymnast late fee, only with the approval of the State Chairman. Please get your entries in before this date.

USAG and Texas State Rules for Class 6 and 7. 

Age Groups Competing

Class 6:  7-8, 9, 10-11, 12+
Class 7:  6, 7, 8-9, 10+

Awards

As per Texas State Guidelines
Team Awards for Class 7:  (6-7), (8-9), (10+)
Team Awards for Class 6:  (7-8), (9), (10-11), 12+
Individual Class 7: No event awards; each participant will receive a special AA Award/Trophy
Individual Class 6: Achievement event awards: 5 Gold, 5 Silver, 10 Bronze. AA: More than the top 30% will receive awards.

Note:  No Vault Table will be used at this competition.  Also, the competition Floor Ex. Area may be a Palmer Spring Tumbling Strip.  A full FX area will be used for warm up.

Michael Sims

Mike Sims was a National Team Member gymnast from the State of Texas who exemplified the life skills and attitude that we all would like our athletes to aspire to.  He was tragically shot to death while performing a courageous duty of trying to stop a shoplifter.  This competition is to honor him.  Any donations to the fund are greatly appreciated.  Please contact Bryan Kiser for any information regarding donations.

Medals will be supplied through the State Chairman.  Trophies will be used for the Team Awards

Attire for Coaches:

Team Warm ups, Team Shirt, Collar Shirt and pants or hemmed shorts.  No Blue Jeans, Cut Offs, or other T-Shirts allowed.  No Sandals! Either wear tennis shoes or other appropriate shoes for a Basketball Gym Floor.

Class 7:  Any shorts and any Team T-shirt or Jersey.  No whites, formal warm up.  Socks are optional.
Class 6:  Competitive Shorts and Jersey.  Whites & Warm Up (optional).
