I've been writing about the dangerous side-effects of the social web before and how, aparently, it aides the middle-ages to make a come-back. This video reinforces this view.

BTW, for the European audience who may not know these guys: The one who asks for the quartering of scientists is, according to a CBS poll, the most influential conservative in the USA, Rush Limbaugh. The one asking for scientists of the IPCC to commit ritual suicide was Glenn Beck, number two after Rush Limbaugh in this poll. This is not the fringe speaking, this is mainstream media in the most powerful country on the planet asking for medieval atrocities performed on scientists. When will the first ardent follower of these guys follow their orders? This is not far-fetched. Recently, an anti-abortion activist murdered a doctor who performed abortions in the US and anti-science terrorists have targeted scientists before.
