You might remember my earlier entry by the same title. This time I have another Science-publishing scientist confirming my statement from earlier this month:

"Fruitflies essentially do everything that we do. You can call them little humans with wings,"


Says Indrani Ganguly-Fitzgerald, lead and corresponding author of a Science paper which reports that flies sleep more after social contact compared to siblings raised in social isolation. The quote comes from an interview with the other leading weekly science journal Nature.
So there you have it, not just one but two researchers agree that flies are like humans, when it comes down to it
